The Wolf Creek Tavern is locally owned and operated by Shane & Amy Moore
Shane & Amy live in Norton and have raised their family in Norton.
Amy is a lifer. She was born here, went to school here, and has lived her entire life in the community. Her parents, Jim & Carol Cook, raised Amy on their Reimer Road farm, just over a mile from here. Amy remembers her Grandfather, Vern, coming here when she was a young girl. The Tavern was his “local”. She even tells a story of roller skating on the old wooden floor in the main room as a young child while Vern sipped away on his favorite Tavern libation. Amy is a proud Nortonian.
Shane first came to America in 1995, having spent 7 weeks riding from San Francisco to Connecticut on his bicycle, which now hangs on the wall in the main dining room. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, he met Amy while resting in Norton for a few days. After 3,437 miles of pedaling from coast to coast, he turned around and came back to Norton for a week long stay. It was during this trip that he stepped inside the Tavern for the first time. After returning to Ireland and to life back in Dublin, Shane came back to America again in 1996, and he and Amy were married in 1997.
Fast forward to today, and The Wolf Creek Tavern’s great American story continues. Serving fresh local American food and beverages, with a hint of Irish traditional stories and songs, we hope you enjoy your visit to our historic location.
